The background feels almost architectural — reminiscent of an abstract city wall.  The central copper-coloured band immediately draws the eye. Applied in a rich, textured manner, it appears to rise above the surface. The contrast between the matte, layered background and the warmer metallic core creates depth and tension. Scattered gold accents enhance the rhythm of the composition and introduce understated luxury without becoming excessive. About the artist – Maryse Quisquater

Maryse Quisquater began her career as a high-end window dresser for exclusive boutiques in Belgium. She designed background walls and visual settings that strengthened atmosphere and brand identity. Encouraged by a client, she translated these techniques onto canvas. This transition led to a recognisable artistic signature centred on layering, balanced colour choices and the use of high-quality paints. By building and partially removing paint, she creates unique textures and tangible depth. Her work combines strength and refinement — clearly visible in Titane.
