2. Applicability

These terms and conditions apply to every offer of Decoration BV and to every agreement concluded between Decoration BV and the consumer.

Deviations are only valid if agreed in writing.

General terms and conditions of the customer are expressly excluded.

3. Offer and agreement

All offers are non-binding and may be modified.

The agreement is concluded at the moment of order and confirmation.

Decoration BV is not bound by obvious errors or mistakes.

4. Prices

All prices are in euros and include VAT unless stated otherwise.

Price increases after purchase are only permitted if required by law.

5. Payment

Payment can be made via Mollie (iDEAL, Bancontact, PayPal), bank transfer or cash upon collection.

If payment is not made on time, the customer is in default by operation of law.

All payments are processed via secure payment environments.

6. Delivery

Decoration BV strives to deliver orders as soon as possible, no later than within 30 days.

Delivery takes place at the address provided by the customer.

Shipping is carried out via PostNL, DHL, UPS or Bpost, depending on size, weight and destination.

If an order cannot be delivered, the customer will be informed and has the right to cancel the agreement free of charge.

7. Right of withdrawal and return policy

The consumer has the right to withdraw from the agreement within 14 days after receipt of the product without giving any reason.

The return must be registered within this period. After registration, the consumer has another 14 days to return the product.

Returns are entirely at the customer’s risk and expense.

The product must be returned in original condition, unused, undamaged and, if possible, in its original packaging.

If a product is used, damaged or incomplete, the right of withdrawal lapses.

Decoration BV reserves the right to refuse returns if these conditions are not met.

Exceptions to returns

The right of withdrawal is excluded for:

  • Products made to order or according to customer specifications
  • Custom-made products and personalized items
  • Unique products, including vintage items, specially selected pieces and artworks (while stocks last)
  • Products that cannot be returned due to their nature
  • Products with broken seals
  • Products sensitive to environmental influences or processing, making them no longer resalable after opening, use or temperature changes

Decoration BV offers the possibility to order a sample or test piece in advance when in doubt.

8. Colour, material and application

Decoration BV makes every effort to display colours, materials, textures, finishes, dimensions and product specifications as accurately as possible on the website. However, colours and material perception may differ in practice due to screen settings, lighting, surroundings, surface conditions, batch variations, processing methods and combinations with other materials.

Colour advice, product advice and application advice provided by Decoration BV are intended as careful and professional guidance but remain indicative. The final assessment of whether a colour, material or product is suitable for a specific space, surface or application remains the responsibility of the customer.

Decoration BV strongly advises to always test a colour sample, material sample or test area in your own environment and on your own surface before placing a final order or applying the product.

For paint, coatings, wall finishes, fabrics, wallpaper and other interior products, the final appearance and result may depend on the substrate, preparation, drying time, application method, lighting conditions, temperature, humidity and maintenance. Minor deviations in colour, structure or perception do not entitle the customer to cancellation, compensation or return, unless there is a demonstrable product defect.

Decoration BV is not liable for dissatisfaction regarding colour perception, material appearance or final result resulting from normal differences in presentation, application or context.

9. Warranty and complaints

The customer is obliged to inspect products immediately upon receipt.

Any defects must be reported in writing within a reasonable time.

Complaints will be handled within 30 days.

10. Liability

Decoration BV is not liable for indirect damage, consequential damage or incorrect use of products.

Liability is limited to the amount of the order.

11. Force majeure

In case of force majeure, Decoration BV is not obliged to fulfill its obligations.

Force majeure includes failures, transport issues and external circumstances beyond our control.

12. Retention of title

All products remain the property of Decoration BV until full payment has been made.

13. Intellectual property

All rights to images, texts, products and designs remain with Decoration BV.

14. Applicable law

Dutch law applies to all agreements.

15. International sales

For deliveries outside the European Union, import duties and taxes are the responsibility of the customer.

16. Errors and changes

Decoration BV is not liable for typographical errors or inaccuracies on the website.
