2. Applicability

These General Terms and Conditions apply to every offer made by Decoration BV and to every agreement concluded between Decoration BV and the consumer.

Any deviations are valid only if agreed in writing.

Any general terms and conditions of the customer are expressly excluded.

3. Offers and agreements

All offers are non-binding and may be amended.

The agreement is concluded when the order has been placed and confirmed.

Decoration BV is not bound by obvious errors or mistakes.

4. Prices

All prices are stated in euros and include VAT, unless stated otherwise.

Price changes after purchase are permitted only where required by law.

5. Payment

Payment can be made through Mollie (iDEAL, Bancontact or PayPal), by bank transfer or in cash upon collection.

If payment is not made on time, the customer will be in default by operation of law.

All payment details are processed through secure payment environments.

6. Delivery

Decoration BV aims to deliver orders as soon as possible and no later than within 30 days.

Delivery will take place at the address provided by the customer.

Orders are shipped using PostNL, DHL, UPS or Bpost, depending on their dimensions, weight and destination.

If an order cannot be delivered, the customer will be informed and will have the right to cancel the agreement free of charge.

7. Right of withdrawal and returns policy

The consumer has the right to withdraw from an order within 14 days of receipt without providing a reason.

The return must be registered within this period. After registering the return, the consumer has a further 14 days to return the product.

Return shipments are entirely at the customer’s risk and expense.

The product must be returned in its original condition, undamaged and unused and, where possible, in its original packaging.

If a product has been used, damaged or is incomplete, the right to return the product will lapse.

Decoration BV reserves the right to refuse returns if the above conditions have not been met.

Exceptions to the right of return

The right of return is excluded for:

  • Products made to measure or specially assembled according to the customer’s requirements
  • Custom-made products and made-to-measure orders
  • Unique products, including vintage items, specially selected pieces and works of art (while stocks last)
  • Products which, due to their nature, are not suitable for return
  • Products where the seal has been broken
  • Products that are sensitive to environmental influences or processing and can no longer be sold as new after opening, processing or exposure to temperature fluctuations

In case of doubt, Decoration BV offers customers the opportunity to order a colour sample, material sample or product example in advance.

8. Colours, materials, images and AI-generated lifestyle images

Decoration BV makes every effort to display colours, materials, textures, finishes, dimensions and product specifications on the website as accurately as possible.

Product photographs are taken of actual products. These photographs may be adjusted in terms of lighting, cropping, sharpness and background without altering the essential characteristics of the product.

For inspiration and visual atmosphere, Decoration BV may use images that have been generated wholly or partly using artificial intelligence. These images are intended as visual impressions and do not always show an actually completed interior. Photorealistic lifestyle images generated wholly or partly using AI will be identified as such alongside the image.

AI-generated lifestyle images are not used for home tours or other parts of the website showing actually completed interiors, projects or homes. Product photographs also remain based on the actual product.

Colours and the appearance of materials may differ in practice due to screen settings, lighting, the surrounding environment, the surface to which a product is applied, batch variations, processing and combinations with other materials. A digital image, including an AI-generated visual impression, therefore cannot be used as an exact reference for colour, material or dimensions.

Colour advice, product advice and application advice provided by Decoration BV are intended as careful and professional guidance but always remain indicative. The customer remains responsible for ultimately assessing whether a colour, material or product is suitable for a particular room, surface or application.

In case of doubt, Decoration BV strongly recommends assessing a colour sample, material sample or test area in the intended room and on the intended surface before placing a final order or applying the product in full.

For paint, coatings, wall finishes, fabrics, wallpaper and other interior products, the appearance and final result may also depend on the surface, preparation, drying time, application method, lighting, temperature, humidity and maintenance. Minor variations in colour, texture or appearance do not entitle the customer to cancel the agreement, claim compensation or return the product, unless there is a demonstrable product defect.

Decoration BV is not liable for dissatisfaction regarding colour perception, material appearance or the final result where this arises from normal differences in presentation, processing or the circumstances of application.

The use of lifestyle images, digital colour representations and image editing does not affect the consumer’s statutory rights or Decoration BV’s obligation to supply a product that conforms to the agreement.

9. Warranty and complaints

The customer is required to inspect products immediately upon receipt.

Any defects must be reported in writing within a reasonable period.

Complaints will be handled within 30 days.

10. Liability

Decoration BV is not liable for indirect damage, consequential damage or the incorrect application of products.

Liability is limited to the value of the order.

11. Force majeure

In the event of force majeure, Decoration BV is not obliged to fulfil its obligations.

Force majeure includes, among other circumstances, technical failures, transport problems and external events beyond our control.

12. Retention of title

All products remain the property of Decoration BV until full payment has been received.

13. Intellectual property

All rights relating to images, texts, products and designs remain with Decoration BV.

14. Governing law

All agreements are governed by Dutch law.

15. International sales

For deliveries outside the European Union, import duties and taxes are payable by the customer.

16. Errors and amendments

Decoration BV is not liable for typographical errors or inaccuracies on the website.
