Product description

This transparent ring tape with white thread is specially designed for making Roman blinds without battens. The tape is sewn in vertical rows from top to bottom on the reverse of the blind fabric. The plastic rings guide the cords of the lifting system. When the cords are pulled, the fabric is raised and forms soft horizontal folds. The rings are positioned at intervals of approximately 14.5 cm along the tape. Distribute several vertical rows of ring tape evenly across the width of the blind so that it raises smoothly and remains straight. The number of rows required depends on the width and weight of the fabric and the lifting system used. The tape is 15 mm wide and made from 100% polyester. Its transparent appearance and white thread keep it relatively unobtrusive on light-coloured and translucent fabrics. Sewing instructions

First determine the finished width and height of the Roman blind. Then calculate how many vertical rows of ring tape are required. Distribute the rows evenly across the width so that the fabric does not pull to one side or sag too far between the cords when raised. Mark straight vertical lines on the reverse of the blind fabric. Pin or tack the ring tape from top to bottom along these lines. Check that the rings on all rows are positioned at approximately the same horizontal height. This helps the folds form more evenly when the blind is raised. Sew the tape securely in place using a needle and thread suitable for the selected fabric. Do not stitch through the plastic rings. For lightweight, smooth or transparent fabrics, first test the stitching on a leftover piece to check the needle, stitch length and thread tension. Guide the cords of the lifting system through the plastic rings according to the instructions supplied with the system. After installation, check that all cords move freely through the rings and that the blind raises straight and evenly. When determining the order length, allow for the ring spacing of approximately 14.5 cm and an additional processing margin at the top and bottom. Make sure loose cords or cord loops are secured safely and kept out of reach of young children.
