This black curtain heading tape is suitable for neatly finishing and pleating curtain fabrics using curtain hooks. The tape is sewn along the top of the curtain fabric. By inserting the curtain hooks at regular intervals, you can distribute the fabric and create a neatly arranged pleated drape. The final pleat style, pleat depth and spacing are determined by the position of the hooks and the amount of curtain fabric used. With a width of 25 mm, the tape creates a compact finish. The black colour is less noticeable on black or dark curtain fabrics. The tape can also be used with dark or sufficiently dense semi-sheer curtains. When working with light, thin or transparent fabrics, always check first whether the black tape remains undesirably visible. Before sewing, position the heading tape straight along the top of the curtain fabric and temporarily secure it with pins, clips or basting stitches. Sew the tape evenly in place, making sure that the insertion points for the curtain hooks remain accessible. Choose a needle, thread and stitch length suitable for the fabric and test your stitching first when working with delicate or stretch materials. The 50-metre roll is practical for curtain workshops, upholsterers, larger interior projects and making curtains for several windows.
