This combination of Silken Wax and Decoration Paint gives furniture, woodwork and decorative objects a new look without hiding the character of the surface. Silken Wax forms a soft base to which you gradually add Decoration Paint. Depending on the chosen Decoration colour, you can create a transparent whitewash, colour wash, dark colour veil or metallic shimmer. Use less paint for a light, transparent wash or add more colour for a fuller effect. The wood grain, knots, signs of use and relief remain visible, making every result unique. Choose from all 27 colours, ranging from bright Snow White and warm Cyprus White to earthy Olive Green, deep Sint Helena Blue, powerful Cornwall Black and the metallic colours Gold and Silver. On light wood, colours generally appear fresher and softer, while the same colour can create more contrast and depth on dark wood. Always make a test patch first. The 400 ml of Silken Wax is supplied in a spacious metal mixing tin that is deliberately not filled to the rim. No product is missing: the empty space is specially designed so that Decoration Paint can be added, the mixture can be stirred thoroughly and the tin can be securely closed afterwards. Silken Wax cannot be packaged or stored in plastic and is therefore always supplied in a metal tin. Apply a thin layer of the mixture to a clean, dry and suitable surface, allow it to absorb briefly and then wipe it with a dry, lint-free cloth. Further buffing creates a silkier sheen. This free space is needed to add and mix the paint and close the tin again afterwards. Add the Decoration Paint gradually; you do not need to use the entire quantity immediately. 5. How do I maintain a surface finished with Silken Wax?
Wipe the surface with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use methylated spirits, ammonia or aggressive degreasers, as these may damage the wax layer and its sheen.
