Magda Rijneke
The ceramic works of Magda Rijneke  belong in a tradition of potters, who are especially moved by the earthiness of the clay. She likes to work with oxides that give the clay a special color effect in which the structure of the skin plays an important role. In the simplicity of form she searches for nuances in the well-thought-out skin. By using coarse chamotte and oxides, the contrasts between smooth and coarse, rough and structure are emphasized.
